SpunOut is an independent, youth powered national charity working to empower young people to create personal and social change.
The overall objective of the Drugs Policy Unit is to oversee implementation of the National Drugs Strategy to tackle the harm caused to individuals, families and communities by problem drug use and alcohol use in Ireland through the five pillars of supply reduction, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation & research.

Community Detoxification may be chosen as an alternative to inpatient residential detoxification, or as a step toward meeting entry requirements for residential detoxification. Currently piloted in the Midlands RDTF area.
Providing information on alcohol-related issues, creating awareness of alcohol-related harm and offering potential policy solutions for reducing that harm.
